Christopher, > petroo, Xubuntu images are available at http://releases.ubuntu.com/ .
To be honest, I have given up on this fault. In the meantime I installed a "3.11.0-19-generic" kernel for Ubuntu 12.04. The "ill corner" is still there, but beyond its visual appearance it does not hinder anything. So I have come to live with it. Thanks for your continued effort but I would like to close the case, as was suggested already. Please move on to more urgent problems! Kind regards, Peter -- g.o.e.the LinguAdapt Dr. P. Roosen U. If a window is shoved to cover this corner with its standard window decoration the window frame is *covered* / superimposed with this small background-colored area. Shoving the window back to a more centered position restores the window frame. If the desktop menu is invoked in a manner that will render a corner of it in this area the screen (background) is not restored for that area when the menu is closed again.
