  radeon graphics driver crashes when updated gnome-screensaver launches

Status in “xserver-xorg-video-ati” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  I am running 64-bit Trusty Tahr.

  Since I updated "gnome-screensaver" from 3.6.1-0ubuntu11 to
  3.6.1-0ubuntu13 , the radeon (OSS) graphics driver fails, causing
  Xorg/LightDM to restart, with the following message (dmesg) :

  Obviously that may be radeon/Xorg/Compiz the culprit, not gnome-
  screensaver which only triggers the bug.
