I think my issue is related, and I'll open a new bug if necessary, but
pulse thinks that my headphones are forever plugged in. It randomly
goes back to normal. Also, "Sound" only displays either "Speakers
Built-in Audio" or "Headphones Built-in Audio", never both when both are
plugged in.

Now, my mic doesn't work.

Will provide whatever details are necessary.

Title:
[Latitude E6520, IDT 92HD90BXX, Black Headphone Out, Left] Plugged
  headphone not detected anymore

Status in “pulseaudio” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Since a couple of days, I can't use my headphones ;
the sound always come out of the laptop speakers, not the headphones.

I have tried with differents headphones too so this is not a crappy
  jack plug issue :-)

I think this is software related - I have checked all my sounds
  settings and volumes etc...

  Also tried:

  sudo /etc/init.d/pulseaudio restart
  sudo alsa force-reload

  What can I do?
