(setup.py:14698): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: Settings schema
'net.launchpad.cuttlefish' is not installed

Indeed, that's an assertion in Gio settings schemas. I'm afraid that's
by design. Seems you didn't install the schema into the right place, or
didn't call glib-compile-schemas after that?

Title:
  python2.7 crashed with signal 5 in g_object_newv()

Status in “glib2.0” package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  Was trying to install cuttlefish in saucy, did sudo python setup.py. I get
the following error message:
  (setup.py:14698): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: Settings schema
'net.launchpad.cuttlefish' is not installed
  The apport window pops up and here this is.

  I guess the problem is with the non-exsistent schema.
