  Can't change MAC address after upgrading to wpasupplicant 2.1

Status in “wpasupplicant” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  After upgrading to wpasupplicant 2.1, I can't connect to wifi networks
  (open or protected) if I change my MAC address using NetworkManager.
  Reverting to 1.0 works. Tested using trusty amd64.
