Title:
no hibernate since gutsy 7.04 ibm thinkpad x31
Status in “pm-utils” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
I have an ibm thinkpad X31. Gutsy 7.04 was working perfectly. EOL made me
change release.
Hibernate never worked again in any of the other releases 8.04, 8.10, 9.04,
showing the strangest behaviors. If it actually got to hibernate it would hang
on wake.
Suspend to RAM worked on 9.04 as soon as the lid was closed, but was never an
option in the menus.
In 8.10 suspend to RAM worked only through keyboard, and only one time. Then
i have to reboot in order to get another chance.
In all of the releases suspend to disk or to RAM don't show up in
menus, except for some reason I don't understand, they appear in menu
after some long time and not all the times. This doesn't mean that it
will work.
