Otherwhere else nothing happens. With 13.04 it worked perfectly. Now with 13.10 I have to print an empty page to switch between printing and scanning modes. XSane simply does not recognize a scanner. After printint a page, it recognizes it like before with 13.04 $ apt-cache policy cups cups: Installed: 1.7.0~rc1-0ubuntu5 Candidate: 1.7.0~rc1-0ubuntu5 Version table: *** 1.7.0~rc1-0ubuntu5 0 500 http://mirror.switch.ch/ftp/mirror/ubuntu/ saucy/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 13.10 Release: 13.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hplip/+bug/1247227/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
