Title:
[Asus P8P67 PRO REV 3.1, Realtek ALC892] Sound still comes out of
  speakers when using headphones

Status in “alsa-driver” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
When I used to plug in my headphones, the sound would automatically
stop coming out of the main speakers and only come out of the
headphones. Since upgrading to 12.10, it continues to come out of the
main speakers as well. Even if I use the sound settings to switch to
the headphones, the sound still continues to come out of the main
speakers, though at a lower volume.
