** Changed in: cups (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Expired -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to cups in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1246119 Title: printing some pdfs results in "undefinedresult" error due to "awidthshow" command on HP 4050 Status in “cups” package in Ubuntu: Expired Bug description: thought i had an okular/poppler error so originally reported on kde's bug tracker (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=321046) but in the end, the file converts to ps and displays on ghostscript just fine. the other commenter with similar symptoms also has an hp 4050 so i'm inclined to believe the problem lies here somewhere. though i believe that there is something different between the old and new versions, i find nothing really different with the ppds (except for some carriage returns), so perhaps it's an issue with cups more generally? if that's the case, i'm somewhat confused because i can print to another printer without problems. maybe a newer version of cups has deprecated one of the definitions in the ppd? i'm also confused about the fact that the awidthshow command is not to be found in the ps or the ppd. i'm happy to do any troubleshooting necessary, but i'm unclear on what to do.
