I've tried this many times now, what amounts to a single click. Experimenting briefly it seems to generate multiple paste if the button it held suppressed for a while, so likely no limit just a recurring find that the button it pressed?? I've looked for an option to reduce sensitivity etc but can't see anything that changes this. Workaround is to use the right-click paste option but it's not as handy.
