*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 398794 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/398794
This is not a dupe: This bug describes somehow the opposite of bug #398794, which was about the ability to copy from /paste into the seahorse password prompts when the "show password" checkbox is checked. This one is about the ability to copy passwords into the clipboard without showing them on screen (that means *without* checking the "show password" checkbox). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to seahorse in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/627900 Title: Saved passwords cannot be copied directly to clipboard Status in “seahorse” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Binary package hint: seahorse Passwords that have been manually saved in seahorse cannot be retrieved without showing the password. In many cases simply populating the clipboard is the end goal anyway, and directly populating it would remove the problems associated with "shoulder surfing" Description: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS Release: 10.04 Installed: 2.30.0-0ubuntu2 Candidate: 2.30.0-0ubuntu2 Version table: *** 2.30.0-0ubuntu2 0 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/seahorse/+bug/627900/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
