Title:
  Sound problem in Ubuntu 12.04

Status in “alsa-driver” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  I recently upgraded my pc to 12.04 (from 10.04 version of Ubuntu). I
  noticed that when listening to music playing Totem player, the sound
  is not smooth especially at high volumes. By smooth I mean that sound
  coming my speaker makes some noise pausing for a millisecond and
  starting again. I use Ubuntu as the main OS and windows in virtual
  box. Could anyone help me about this please?

  lsb_release -rd
  Description:  Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
  Release:      12.04

  Here is also the result of the script (wget -O alsa-info.sh http://www
  .alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh && chmod +x ./alsa-info.sh && ./alsa-
  info.sh) :
