Title:
  gtk incomplete drag

Status in “gtk+2.0” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Since Maverick, i've been experiencing incomplete drags in some gtk apps.
Initially, i filed the bug against Chromium as I first experienced the
problem there:
  http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=53814
but it's not a Chromium bug.

it's happening everywhere, like in gedit and in the gnome panel,
mostly with menus leaving their shadow behind until the app is killed.
It happens to me 10 times a day.

that's now with Natty, using Classic Desktop and Metacity with
  compositing.
