Status in “pulseaudio” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: pulseaudio

  (A) Not Purged
  1. Edit /etc/pulse/client.conf
  2. Change autospawn:

  autospawn = no
  ; autospawn = yes

  3. Save the file.
  4. sudo apt-get purge pulseaudio

  Expected Results
  ALL files, including configuration files, related to pulseaudio should be 
removed.

  Actual Results
  The file remains.

  (B) Not Restored
  1. sudo rm -rf /etc/pulse
  2. sudo apt-get purge pulseaudio
  3. sudo apt-get install pulseaudio

  Expected Results
  /etc/pulse/client.conf exists

  Actual Results
  /etc/pulse/client.conf is missing (as is /etc/X11/Xsession.d/70pulseaudio).
