I believe this issue exists with my Ativ Book 9 lite. The 13.10 usb boot
starts with blank screen. But 13.04 boots and installes perfectly.

 I believe the issue is with kabini graphics.

  What happened instead:  after the Xubuntu 'start screen' I booted to a full 
screen terminal.  When I tried to startx, I got a seg fault.
