Title:
  sound volume fluctuates, NB speaker always on ... [12.04 LTS]

Status in “alsa-driver” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Since the update to 3.2.0-51-generic I have a very annoying problem
  with audio playback:

  1.) Volume jumps up and down randomly (even when all levels are 100% in 
alsamixer)
  2.) Even when external speakers  are plugged in the audio jack, the NB 
speakers are active
