Title:
no automatic reconnection when internet(nic) disconnects

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  uname -a #
  Linux ben-Z68XP-UD3R 3.8.0-26-generic #38-Ubuntu SMP Mon Jun 17 21:46:08 UTC
2013 i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux

I've installed Ubuntu Gnome 13.04 Raring Ringtail a few days ago and
decided to upgrade to Gnome 3.8 in 13.04, and did with no problems at
all and am now running with the Gnome Classic session. In the past few
days I've started noticing my wireless connection will drop out
randomly every few minutes, varying between 10m, 30m, sometimes it
stays good for >1hr and then disconnects. (Note: my connection only
disconnects, my router stays stable and connected to my ISP). When
this happens I check to see if my SSID is still broadcasting (sudo
iwlist scanning #) which it is and wait for my wireless to reconnect,
but nothing happens. In order for me to get connected to my gateway
again I must click the Wireless notification in the top right, turn
Wifi OFF then ON (so my SSID reappears) and only then will be
connected automatically. Also clicking 'Network Settings' under the
Wiressless Notification does nothing, just makes the menu close.

Within 'Network Connections' under the General tab for my SSID I have
both "Automatically connect to this network when its available" and
"All users may connect to this network" CHECKED/TICKED and saved.

As you are probably aware, this problem is very inconvenient when
downloading large files (ie; torrents) and being away from the
  computer.

Any help with this problem would be much appreciated.

edit: I've currently been connected to my gateway (and the www) for
about 2 hours now, this is just to tell you that the drop outs aren't
always as frequent as I stated above. There is 'some' stability'.
