issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to

  NetworkManager crashed with SIGABRT in g_assertion_message()

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Using Ubuntu 13.04, using latest updates from Stable. The crash
  happened about 30 seconds after bootup. Connected to WIFI hotspot
  provided by Android phone. Not sure if it crashed before the WIFI
  hotspot became available or just after.
