Process is slow (only 20% cpu load per core) but computer is unresponsive to other programs running. Screens are greyed-out, mouse does not move smoothly, typed characters on keyboard don't show up on screen. It seems the program is blocking something in the computer so other programs don't work anymore, even though the cpu can do much more.
