Title: gnome-screensaver locks after approx 10 minutes even if user settings are specify longer Status in “gnome-screensaver” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: After setting a screen lock timeout of, for example, 1 hour the screen still locks after approx 10 minutes. Looking at the code it appears gnome-screensaver puts an upper bound on the lock timeout of 480 seconds (8 minutes), so user preferences of 1 hour will not function as expected. I see no reason for an upper bound of 8 minutes, and this contradicts the available options anyway.
