Nils Ole Tippenhauer (#6) post saved me, my 12.10 Ubuntu was crashing unpredictably, after adding that repository and update no crash in weeks!

This bug looks a lot like #1023004, I opened a new one because the old one is "fix released" with no-one assigned to. The install is fresh on a new laptop. I have since switched to the xorg-bleeding PPA, but this did not fix the problem. I am also now using the trunk PPA of inkscape, without change of behaviour. Please advise if more information is needed.
