I have same issue ..turns out the brightness setting is not saved and is 0
every time I boot.
If I use the Fn + brightness Up key on every boot then I can see the screen
again.

Bug description:
I can not start the system in any way, with kernel 3.8, just get a
black screen.
I don't know if this is a bug of kernel or a bug of xorg intel :(
