nvidia not appearing in jockey

Bug description:
three days ago I could see nvidia but enabling it gave me a warning
about held packages. ran updates this morning and can no longer see
nvidia in jockey. expected to see it there and at least be able to try
installing it, but the list is empty and I am simply told no drivers
are in use on my system.
