Public bug reported: After doing a fresh install for Ubuntu 13.04 x64 on my laptop it fails about 80% of the times to shutdown/restart. I closed the bootsplash to see the logs written on the screen and it "Fails" to kill all remaining processes then says "switching to single user mode" and keeps this way forever. I have to keep pressing the power button to manually shutdown my laptop.
