By video issues. Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I can't initiate ubuntu 13.04. By video issues. I believe the problem is between video (amd) card and kernel. Ubuntu 13.04 started without problems from usb drive, i tested it, and then installed it. But the system never restarted. Sometimes show a screen light brown and other times one with stripes. I installed it twice and have the same problem. Searching in Google I discovered that the problem is in the new kernels and when the graphics controller starts. For initiate the system i used "e" in Grub menu and added "quiet splash nomodeset". Save with Ctrl X. From the ubuntu desktop i start a terminal and executed sudo xdiagnose. Now the system is working, but this is not the correct solution.
