Title:
totem-gstreamer: doesn't display what codec it needs

Status in “totem” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: totem

when totem-gstreamer encounters a video codec which it doesn't
understand, it offers to use gstreamer-codec-installer to install a
codec. Unfortunately, it never displays what codec is to be searched
for, in order to facilitate the situation where gstreamer-codec-
installer might fail. Totem should display this information, either
when it prompts the user to search for a codec, or once gstreamer-
codec-installer has failed to find/install the relevant codec.
