Two things I would try:
1) Play with 'Independent HP' setting in alsamixer
2) Try latest ALSA version: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/UpgradingAlsa/DKMS

Title:
[CedarTrail Platform, VIA VT1705, Green Headphone Out, Front] No sound
  at all

Status in “alsa-driver” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
There is no sound coming from headphones whenever I plug them in. It
seems ubuntu recognizes them but still there's no sound at all. Of
course nothing is muted so sound should work and yet it doesn't.
