Title:
After Update Ubuntu 12.04 and despite several reboots, no more sound
  (Sortie factice)

Status in “pulseaudio” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
After Update Ubuntu 12.04 and despite several reboots, no more sound
  (Sortie factice).

I made several times the following actions:

  sudo apt-get remove --purge alsa-base
  sudo apt-get remove --purge pulseaudio
  sudo apt-get install alsa-base
  sudo apt-get install pulseaudio
  sudo alsa force-reload

No more sound and always "sortie factice" in pulseaudio.
