I'm just bumping this because I'm having this issue and can't find a way to work around it. Also to ellaborate on Collin's message #3. I can get newer versions of alsa-hda-dkms to install (alsa-hda- dkms_0.201303141419~quantal1_all.deb), but I can't get the sound to work still.
