You have been subscribed to a public bug: I have a new PC:
- Intel Core I5 2500K. - Intel Board DH67BL. - 4GBs RAM. - SATA II HDD. - Radeon HD 6850 Graphics. Works fine under windows 7 64bits. Here's what I did: - I installed Ubuntu Desktop 12.10 without any problems. - Everything was working fine, I rebooted many times to be sure. - Then I saw I had 200+ pending updates so I decided to apply them, the process took half hour, I reeboted and now everything I have is a blinking screen, I can access a terminal by hitting Ctrl + Alt + F1 but nothing else. - I repeted the process many time in both 64bits and 32bits editions and I've never installed AMD's drivers, just the default ones. ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: bot-comment -- Graphics stopped working after update on a fresh 12.10 install https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1130416 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
