That is not really what I said. But I will go further. Choqok - http://choqok.gnufolks.org/
Is designed for KDE and tuned for it. Running it on Ubuntu / Gnome / Unity can lead to unexpected results and bugs. You have reported one and I have tested choqok on todays daily 13.04 and found many more e.g. - Splash screen stays above a dialog at first run -> A parenting issue. - No way to release the UI to window under unity. ... These kind of issues and yours are not going to be fixed at this level and as I suggested, making choqok better work and interact with Ubuntu / Gnome / Unity is best done through direct contact with the choqok developers and see if they are interested in doing the work. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to choqok in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/804882 Title: Choqok tray icon does not appear Status in “choqok” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: After starting choqok, it should display its icon in system tray, but it doesn't.
