Brightness not restored after resume from suspend

Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
1. The brightness is at the max level
2. I suspend my laptop
3. After resuming, the brightness is set to the lowest level
This happens while my laptop always stays on AC power. This is with
Ubuntu 9.10.
