In nautilus 3.x i had the same problem especially with the thumbnails of music folders. I found a solution using dconf-editor and puting the value of icon-size to 126 in state of 64 (org/gnome/nautilus/icon-view).
I hope this can help : i have almost no space left betwwen my icons (thumbnails) and i love it ;-) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/589433 Title: being able to reduce space between icons Status in Nautilus: Confirmed Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Binary package hint: nautilus there's apparently no way to reduce the space between icons (especially useful when you zoom your folder).
