cheese shows the webcam video only the first time I start it

Bug description:
Binary package hint: cheese
The title describes the problem. If I reboot and start cheese it will
show me image from the webcam. If I press effects and go back though
cheese won't display video from the webcam anymore. The same thing
happens if I close cheese and start it again. The bug is reproducible,
with the exact steps I described above.
