Bug affects me too. Sometimes when I'm editing two documents at the same time, the bug affects only one of them, while global menu for the other document works properly. I haven't found a way to reproduce this. Seems to happen randomly, but persistenly.

That is, the menu is showing at the top of the screen, and you can select a menu item, however nothing happens. Once the behavior starts, none of the menu items work, including File Exit. The only way to get the menus to work again, is to quit Writer and restart the program. This is with NVidia driver...not sure if it happens with other video cards. This is with libreoffice version >= 1:3.6.2~rc2-0ubuntu4 and indicator-appmenu 12.10.3-0ubuntu2.1 (currently in quantal-proposed) ONLY.
