Microsoft entered into an agreement to support users of Ubuntu running in a Hyper-V virtual environment. Now, as in the case of RedHat, SUSE and CentOS, if you experience issues with virtualized Ubuntu you can refer to Microsoft's technical support line, which would itself escalate incidents in Ubuntu and be the single point of entry.
