Title: Rhythmbox wants to erroneously initialise my iPhone Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Plug iPhone 4S running iOS 6 into laptop running Ubuntu 12.04 Rhythmbox pops up a dilog titled "ipod Detected" and says:- "Rhythmbox has detected a device that is probably an uninitialised or corrupted iPod. It must be initialised before Rhythmbox can use it, but this will destroy any song metadata already present. If you wish Rhythmbox to initialise the iPod, please fill in the information below. If the device is not an iPod or you do not wish to initialise it, please click cancel." It's not an iPod, so I click "Cancel" as instructed. This pops up every time I plug it in. :( ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: rhythmbox 2.96-0ubuntu4.2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-31.50-generic 3.2.28 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-31-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu13 Architecture: amd64 Date: Mon Oct 1 21:59:11 2012 EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Release amd64 (20120425) SourcePackage: rhythmbox UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/1059843/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
