Title:
No sound. No sound card listed in Sound Settings

Status in “pulseaudio” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Sound has worked on this netbook in 12.10, 12.04, 11.10, and 11.04.
Sound device is listed by lspci:

  carl@miskatonic-ubuntu:~$ lspci | grep Audio
00:01.1 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI Wrestler HDMI
Audio [Radeon HD 6250/6310]
00:14.2 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI SBx00 Azalia
(Intel HDA) (rev 40)

Neither of these options is listed in Sound Settings. Both should be
listed with 00:14.2 selected by default if no HDMI cable is connected.

Sound stopped working immediately after upgrade from 12.10 to 13.04.

Upgrade was performed in place by changed sources.list references from
quantal to raring. No errors occured during upgrade.
