Title: black screen on ati after upgrade and reboot. Status in “xserver-xorg-video-ati” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: The last time i had update Ubuntu 12.04, I had to restart the computer to finish the installation. When i rebooted my graphics were out. The screen was totally dark except for a few pixels are the top of the display, Maybe 5 pixels at the top and the entire length of the screen. If i moved my cursor to the top of the screen i could see a small bit of it. The only way to get on is by choosing an older install from the boot screen.
