Now tested with Sabayon, CUPS 1.5.3., english PPD from openprinting.org.
The critical page prints fine, so it's an Ubuntu problem.

Title:
Firefox print failure for certain webpages

Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Hi there,

firefox 16.0.2 fails to print with my 12.10 Ubuntu and 12.10 Xubuntu
for some webpages. I've added an example page as attachment. The same
page prints fine with epiphany, so I can sort out any CUPS related
problem. Printer is a Kyocera FS920 on local usb. Most pages print
okay and I suspect Javascript issues. When trying the example page, a
notification pops up that the page has finished printing, but none.

The problem can be reproduced with a fresh Ubuntu 12.10. Using Firefox
and trying to print the critical webpage a second time, printing
status says "Sending data to printer". However, the job in the CUPS
jobs list is gone. Online LED on the printer blinks and nothing is
printed. The problem does not occur with the same page and Firefox
16.0.2 on Windows. I will try other Linux distro later, probably this
  is upstream.

  Kind regards,

  Stefan
