Same issue here with Rhythmbox under 12.04, however it doesn't happen
for all tracks for me. It seems to be limited to music located on my
Windows shared folder. Is this happening with music on the local drive
for anyone here?

Title:
rhythmbox stops playing songs after one second

Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Rhythmbox plays the first second or so of a song and then the audio
stops. The slider continues as normal, but there is no audio either
from my headphones or speakers. Changing to a different song does the
same thing. I have picked a song from the Dash, but subsequently, I
tried selecting one from RB, and the same thing happened.
