Public bug reported: Description: Nautilus allows you to bookmark both mounted destinations and network shares. Nautilus chooses a name based on the actual folder, but other dialogs, as the file selector, shows the bookmark as a truncated path. Same result if you rename the bookmark.
What I expect: Consistent naming on both Nautilus and file selectors. What I get: Some times the bookmark honors the naming on Nautilus, sometimes get listed as a path, and sometimes it is not listed at all. To reproduce: Open Nautilus and navigate to a shared network folder. Bookmark the folder. Open Gedit. Select "Open" The dialog shows the bookmark as a path instead of the name given on Nautilus. GTK+2 seems to plain ignore this kind of bookmarks (as stated on bug #1061600). ** Affects: hundredpapercuts Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: gtk+3.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Package changed: firefox (Ubuntu) => gtk+3.0 (Ubuntu) ** Also affects: hundredpapercuts Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to firefox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1075368 Title: Inconsistent bookmarking of mounted media or network shares Nautilus/GTK+ Status in One Hundred Paper Cuts: New Status in “gtk+3.0” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Description: Nautilus allows you to bookmark both mounted destinations and network shares.
