Title: Dell Precision M6500 with NVIDIA Quadro FX 3800M crashes when using OpenGL screensaver Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Running: Description: Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS Release: 12.04 kernel 3.2.0-33 x86_64 System Specs: Dell Precision M6500 laptop with NVIDIA Quadro FX 3800M Latest NVIDIA driver from the website: version 304.60 Running KDE. Using single external monitor on docking station, with no output on laptop display. Navigate to System Settings/Display and Monitor/Screen Saver/ Choose any OpenGL screen saver --- The screen saver will display a small preview for about 1-2 seconds, the display will go dark and the system will be unresponsive to all keyboard or mouse commands. It does, however respond to ssh connections, and the power button will reboot the system.
