Title: nm-applet displays the wrong connection status Status in Network Manager GNOME Applet: Confirmed Status in “network-manager-applet” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in “network-manager-applet” source package in Lucid: Triaged Status in “network-manager-applet” source package in Maverick: Fix Released Bug description: After successfully connecting to a wireless network, nm-applet displays the "disconnected" icon instead of the signal strength. The icon tooltip says "Wireless connection '...' active", which is correct. When I left-click the icon to see the list of networks, under "Wireless networks", there's just a "Disconnect" button, while the network I'm connected to is in the list along with all other available networks. /var/log/syslog contains one suspicious message: May 3 00:51:08 dima-macbook NetworkManager: <debug> [1272873068.221331] periodic_update(): Roamed from BSSID 00:26:5A:B3:F8:7B (dlink88226) to (none) ((none)) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: network-manager-gnome 0.8-0ubuntu3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-21.32-generic 2.6.32.11+drm33.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-21-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia wl Architecture: amd64 CRDA: Error: [Errno 2] No such file or directory Date: Mon May 3 00:52:59 2010 IfupdownConfig: auto lo iface lo inet loopback InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx" - Beta amd64 (20100318) IpRoute: 192.168.0.0/24 dev eth1 proto kernel scope link src 192.168.0.13 metric 2 169.254.0.0/16 dev eth1 scope link metric 1000 default via 192.168.0.1 dev eth1 proto static Keyfiles: Error: [Errno 2] No such file or directory ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE= LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash RfKill: 0: hci0: Bluetooth Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: no SourcePackage: network-manager-applet To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/network-manager-applet/+bug/574270/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
