The problem lies on the facebook app. This app was removed on facebook and because gwibber need this facebook app to do sign in and update people status, it doesnt work.
In ubuntu 12.10 it works because gwibber or gnome uses other facebook app to do the job. The fix is changing the gwibber code to use the new facebook app as it happens on ubuntu 12.10.
