Title:
  Printing job gets randomly interrupted

Status in “cups” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
I print a pdf document (just 4 pages!) from the Document Viewer.

When it is in the middle of the page, the printer suddenly stops (without
ejecting the sheet) and keeps waiting.
I click the printer icon in the notification area and my job is listed, so I
click on it, the "document print status" windows opens and I see the document
is in the status "Pending". I disconnect and reconnect the printer's USB cable
and the printing resumes (from the beginning of the page that was interrupted).

Later on, it stops again, in the middle of another page. I wait a
minute and nothing. I click on the printer icon and the job is not
listed at all! Gone. As if finished or aborted, without notice.
Disconnecting and reconnecting USB nothing happens.

So I send it to print again from the document viewer (only the
remaining pages) and this time it prints all without interruption.

This is a regression. In the past I have printed documents of dozens of pages
hundred of times (or rather viceversa) without encountering this issue.
