Yes, you right. But we are talking about default settings of Gmail box and specifically about "Important" tag. And in this case almost every inbox mail is tagged as "important". And here we have this duplicate problem...
You are trying to tell me that it is not possible on client side to make 1 notification for specifically this default "Important" tag (folder)? Or maybe make an option in the Thunderbird settings to combine 1 notification from inbox folder and 1 from "Important" folder.
