Collapse starting a new document after saving previous job to pdf

Bug description:
When I wanted to start a new document simple scan exited without any
gtk error message. Previous job was saved to PDF and restarting the
app does not connect back to my printer for scanning. Had to wait
while printer forget previous command then restart the app helped.
