*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 863663 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/863663
A possible and only temporary solution is to navigate to /usr/share/icons/Humanity/status and move away (or delete) the "audio-volume-<level>.svg" and .png files, where <level> will be one of high, medium, low, mute. This way the monochrome icons of gnome default theme will be in use. The downside is that this operation should be repeated at any update of the humanity icon theme package, since those low-resolution files will be installed again -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to light-themes in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/964948 Title: Poor resolution Volume OSD icons in gnome-shell Status in “light-themes” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I am using the Ambiance theme and gnome-shell.
