  Canon PIXMA ip1000 and others (ip1200, ip1300, ip1500-ip1900, ip2200,
  etc) drivers were removed from Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise Pangolin)

Bug description:
  There are no driver for Canon PIXMA ip1000 printer on the  Ubuntu
  repositories. Tried to find solution in a few forumus (like:
  http://ubuntuportal.com/how-to-install-canon-printer-driver-for-linux-
  ubuntu/ - it drops me "404 Not Found" error, while trying to update
  PPA). Printer was working with M$ OS.
